From steel and stainless steel to non-ferrous metals, cast iron and HSS, many materials can be machined with our tungsten carbide burrs. In addition, there is a selection of shapes and profiles to cover any field of application. These include a wide variety of tapered shapes, cylindrical and ball shaped tools, and special shapes for machining angles, corners and flutes. The parts of our tungsten carbide burrs are soldered and given a certain tolerance by a copper alloy between the head and the point, which makes them less sensitive to impacts during machining. This leads to more safety in the application and higher performance.

The requirements for our tungsten carbide burrs are clear – first-class grinding results must be achieved with maximum economy in process design. Our tools are characterized by the longest possible standing times, which is primarily ensured by a specially developed cutting edge geometry. In order to protect both the tool and the machined workpiece, a reduced heat generation is a prerequisite for all our products. This is particularly important in the milling of stainless steel in order to prevent discoloration.

New in our assortment are the tungsten carbide burrs HPC (High Performance Coating) for cast iron, steel and stainless steel, allowing even higher performances. The newly developed geometry of the cutting edges ensures the highest lifetime and best results. In addition, the tungsten carbide burrs are equipped with a state-of-the-art coating which makes them even stronger on the one hand and creates a smoother surface on the workpiece on the other. This significantly improves chip transport and doubles the stock removal rate. Added to this is the unique color combination of the coating, which is a Tyrolit speciality.
